ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
GLYCOLIC ACID: Glycolic acid, derived from sugar cane, belongs to the family of alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and fruit acids. Among all the fruit acids, glycolic acid is the smallest molecule and therefore the most easy to absorb. In contact with the outermost layer of the skin, glycolic acid weakens the links between lipids that keep dead cells joined together, enabling gentle exfoliation. Skin gains brightness, tone and elasticity. As well as the removal of dead skin cells and impurities that block the pores, it enables the skin’s respiration to return to normality.
MANDELIC ACID: Mandelic acid, found naturally in bitter almonds, is an alpha hydroxy acid with high molecular weight. Its high molecular weight differentiates it from glycolic acid and from the other
alpha hydroxy acids: it is capable of penetrating the skin less deeply, which allows gentler exfoliation and efficient skin reparation and stimulation. It smooths the skin, improving its appearance, and stimulates cell turnover.
UREA: Urea is one of the key components of the NMF (natural moisturising factor of the skin). Moistening and keratolytic, it supports the softness of the skin.
TARTARIC ACID – MALIC ACID: Tartaric acid (derived from grapes) and malic acid (derived from the apple) are useful in stimulating cell regeneration thanks to the exfoliating effect on the stratum corneum.
CITRIC ACID: An alpha hydroxy acid present particularly in citrus fruits, with astringent, exfoliant and regenerative properties. It shrinks dilated pores and encourages the elimination of dead skin cells, stimulating the formation of new cells. Skin regains transparency and brightness.
