ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

SODIUM ASCORBYL PHOSPHATE: A stable form of Vitamin C. Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid, or L-ascorbate) is present in all layers of the skin and hair and seems to be more concentrated in the epidermis compared to the dermis. Following exposure to various environmental stresses, including UV light, the concentration of vitamin C in the skin decreases. The topical application of ascorbate increases the antioxidising capacity of the skin, providing photoprotection and preventing inflammation induced by UV radiation. Ascorbate also plays a fundamental role in regulating collagen production. Recent studies have shown that ascorbate has a role in the formation of lipids that form the barrier of the stratum corneum. Vitamin C is also able to inhibit the abnormal accumulation of melanin (responsible for hyperpigmentation), making the skin bright again. The disadvantage of vitamin C is that it is quickly oxidised and decomposes in aqueous solutions. To resolve this problem, a mainly stable form of vitamin C is used, or ascorbyl phosphate.
ROSA MOSCHATA SEED OIL, ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, HIPPOPHAE RHAMNOIDES OIL: A combination of rosa moschata oil, argan oil and sea buckthorn oil. The oils from the flesh and seeds of these plants are rich in natural alpha and gamma tocopherols. It is noted that natural alpha tocopherols have better biodisponibility and are more effective antioxidants than those of synthetic origin. The gamma tocopherol is not only an effective antioxidant, but also an optimum anti-inflammatory. The tocopherols, tocotrienols and carotenoids contained in these plants are natural antioxidants that operate with a synergistic mechanism, protecting the skin from oxidative damage caused by stress, ageing and environmental factors.

IRISH MOSS EXTRACT (CHONDRUS CRISPUS EXTRACT ): Irish moss extract is rich in polysaccharides and is used as a base substance for obtaining a gel, but also as a functional ingredient which hydrates the skin.
