Functional Ingredients
Essential tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia oil): The essential tea tree oil has purifying properties; thanks to the effective purifying activity combined with a perfect skin tolerance, the essential tea tree oil is used in the treatment of oily, impure and prone to acne skins.
Olea europaea oil Unsaponifiables: The unsaponifiable fraction of olive oil is exceptionally rich in squalene (a major component of skin oil). Due to its similarities with the composition of sebum naturally present on the surface of the corneum stratum, the unsaponifiable olive oil has a significant softening function
Organic horsetail extract (Equisetum arvense extract*): The horsetail extract is rich in salicylic acid, flavonoids, saponins and minerals and has remineralizing and astringent properties
Panthenol or Pro-Vitamin B5 (Panthenol): The panthenol is the pro-vitamin (the precursor) of Vitamin B5 (or pantothenic acid). This one has an important role in cell renewal, also contributes to a moisturizing action on the skin.
Butcher’s broom extract (Ruscus aculeatus extract): The extract of butcher’s broom has functio in toning and vaso-protecting, due to the presence of tannins and saponins.
Escin and phosphatidylcholine coplex (escin, phosphatidylcholine): Escin is a saponin contained in the horsechestnut seeds (Aesculus hyppocastanum). Escin has excellent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The escin and phospholipids complex improves the absorption and effectiveness. In blackheads, the sebum hardens by oxidation: the so-called ‘black spot’ is constituted by sebum that has undergone oxidation processes, lamellae of the corneum stratum and dusts coming from outside. The escin in this way helps to avoid sebum oxidation.
Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium hyaluronate): The local action of Hyaluronic acid develops by the formation of an hydrated film, permeable to air and light, not sticky, with a tensor effect. So the skin gains elasticity and plasticity, it’s less sensible to shocks and external aggressions and permorms better its protective functions (reduction of transepidermal water loss and barrier function).
