ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER (BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER*): Shea butter is one of the most interesting vegetable lipids in the cosmetics field. Not only does it make the cream a pleasure to apply and give it good stability, it also plays a protective and soothing role on the skin.
ORGANIC ALOE JUICE (ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE*): Aloe juice has a beneficial soothing and refreshing role.
ORGANIC JOJOBA OIL (Simmondsia chinensis oil*): Jojoba oil has a soothing and protective role.
UNSAPONIFIABLE PART OF OLIVE OIL (OLEA EUROPAEA OIL UNSAPONIFIABLES): The unsaponifiable part of olive oil is exceptionally rich in squalene (one of the principal components of sebum). Because of its affinity with the composition of sebum physiologically present on the stratum corneum layer, the unsaponifiable part of olive oil has a notable soothing role.
BLACK RASPBERRY EXTRACT (VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS EXTRACT): Black raspberry extract eliminates redness and has a protective, soothing and antioxidising role.
ORGANIC MALLOW EXTRACT (MALVA SYLVESTRIS EXTRACT*): Mallow extract is rich in mucilage, tannins and anthocyanins (malvin and malvidin); it has a soothing, softening and refreshing role.
ORGANIC CAMOMILE EXTRACT (CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA EXTRACT*): Camomile extract eliminates redness and has a soothing role.
ORGANIC HORSE CHESTNUT EXTRACT (AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM EXTRACT*): Because of the presence of tannins and saponins, it has soothing, refreshing, antioxidising and vasotonic properties.
AESCIN AND PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE COMPLEX: Aescin is one of the saponins found in horse chestnut seeds (Aesculus hippocastanum). Aescin increases the resistance of the capillary vessels and has optimum anti-inflammatory properties. The complex made up of aescin and phospholipids improves its absorption and efficacy.
PANTHENOL OR PRO-VITAMIN B5: Panthenol is the provitamin (or the precursor) of vitamin B5 (or pantothenic acid). The latter has an important role in cell renewal, and contributes to performing a hydrating action on the skin.
CALAMINE: Calamine is a very fine powder, also called pink clay; it contains many mineral nutrients; it favours ion exchange with the skin and has a healing, balancing and remineralising function. It is also very soothing.
ALLANTOIN: Allantoin is present in nature, especially in Comfrey (a herbaceous plant with the scientific name of Symphytum officinale). It is used for hydrating, reducing redness and soothing.
HYALURONIC ACID (SODIUM HYALURONATE): Hyaluronic acid is a physiological component of the extracellular matrix of the skin’s connective tissue. As well as having a supporting and plumping function, it also serves as a water reserve for the skin, retaining enormous quantities of water. For this function as a ‘biological sponge’, it absorbs impact and maintains the skin’s structure, thanks also to the electrostatic interactions with the collagen fibres, the matrix proteins and other GAGs. Thus the skin gains elasticity and flexibility, it is less sensitive to impact and environmental aggressors and better carries out its protective functions (reduction of transepidermal water loss and barrier function).
MIXED PRESERVATIVES: phenoxyethanol, sodium phytate, anisic acid.
