FUNCTIONAL INGREDIENTS
OLEA EUROPAEA OIL UNSAPONIFIABLES: The unsaponifiable fraction of olive oil is exceptionally rich in squalene (a major component of skin oil). Due to its similarities with the composition of sebum naturally present on the surface of the corneum stratum, the unsaponifiable olive oil has a significant softening function
BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER * (SHEA BUTTER ORGANIC): Shea butter is one of the most interesting vegetal lipids in the cosmetic field. It doesn’t only give the cream a pleasant applicability and a good stability, but it also provides protection and soothes the skin.
ORGANIC ALOE JUICE (ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE *): The aloe juice plays a positive role by soothing and refreshing the skin.
SWEET ALMOND OIL (PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL): Sweet almond oil has a good emollient property, especially on sensitive, irritated and dry skins.Almond oil is composed almost entirelyfrom unsaturated fatty acids (oleic and linoleic).
Organic Honey (Mel *): Honey has very marked emollient properties, it regenerates the surface of skin cells. It is an excellent moisturizer and is useful especially in case of redness.
EXTRACT GOTU KOLA (CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT): The Indian pennywort is known for its renovating properties.
MUSK ROSE OIL (ROSA MOSCHATA SEED OIL): Musk rose oil contains about 50% linoleic acid and 35% linolenic acid (essential fatty acids); it is used for its tonic, energizing and healing properties
ESCINA COMPLEX AND PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE (ESCIN, PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE): Escin is one of saponins contained in horse chestnut seeds (Aesculus hyppocastanum). Escin works by increasing the resistance of the vessels capillaries and is endowed with excellent anti-inflammatory properties. This complex made of escin and phospholipids improves the absorption and efficacy.
ALLANTOIN (ALLANTOIN): Allantoin is present in nature especially in Comfrey (herbaceous plant, its scientific name is Symphytum officinale). And it has moisturizing, reddening, soothing actions.
HYALURONIC ACID (SODIUM HYALURONATE): Hyaluronic acid is a physiological constituent of the extracellular matrix of the connective tissue of the dermis. In addition this acid has a supportive and filling actions, it also serves as a water supply for the skin, holding large amounts of water. This function of “biological sponge” absorbs shocks and supports the structure of the dermis. Thanks to the electrostatic interactions with the collagen fibers and to the matrix proteins and other GAGs.
The amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases according to the age. This contributes to wrinkles formation, decreased elasticity, thinning and drying the skin: all factors typical of aging.
The hyaluronic acid used in cosmetics is produced by fermentation and this ensures that the biological extract is absolutely free of contaminants such as glycosaminoglycans and proteins of animal origin. The local action of hyaluronic acid develops with the formation of a hydrated film, permeable to air and light, non-sticky, with tightening effect. The skin around the eyes so gains elasticity and plasticity and is less sensitive to shocks, to environmental aggressions and it perform most of their protective functions (reduction of water loss and trans-epidermal barrier function).
